History and Current Information of Carrie Ricker School
Litchfield is a town in Kennebec County, Maine, United States. The population was 3,624 at the 2010 census. Litchfield is included in the Augusta, Maine micropolitan New England City and Town Area. Carrie Ricker, which originally housed grades 3-8, was reconfigured in 2009 and became home for all Oak Hill, Wales, Litchfield and Sabattus students.
Carrie Ricker School’s current enrollment is 320 students, serving grades three through five. We currently have three teacher teams. Each team works directly with one grade level. Our Unified Arts program consists of Art, Band, Chorus and Physical Health and Wellness. Gifted and talented services are provided to students who qualify. Additionally, our after school club offerings provide Carrie Ricker students ample opportunity to explore areas of interest outside the normal school day.
Carrie Ricker's special education program consists of two resource classrooms and two Functional Life Skills classrooms. Specialized services in speech, language and occupational therapy are also provided. Other programs provided are Response to Intervention and Title I services in literacy and math for all students who qualify.

Student Arrival: For safety and supervision purposes, doors open at 8:10 am.
Dismissal: Students are dismissed at 3:10 PM.
